Well, we are on the road!

After a somewhat hectic week we are finally on the road. Packing a house up to move is generally a hassle but having to have it ready to go into storage was more of a challenge.

Day 1 we woke after our “farewell” at the Redlands Golf Club…yes my head was OK, and we did the final things to the house and hit the road…one last thing to do, drop Kona the goldfish and Killer the Siamese fighting fish off to their new homes at Shailer Park.

With Emily sitting in the back seat holding a fish tank with tears running down her cheeks and Jo in the front seat on edge, the first few kilometres were interesting. After finally dropping the fish off we headed down the M1 to our first destination…and wasn’t it a long first days driveĀ from Redland Bay to Southport!!!!!!

We pulled into the Broadwater Tourist Park and set up for the next few nights so that we could relax and chill out after the past week. Dinner was a trip to KFC just a short walk up the road before we settled in for the night.

Day 2 was a promise that we had made to the kids, to take them to Sea World. I woke to Jo getting ready to go for a run…no I’ll sleep in a bit longer was my reply when asked if I wanted to join her. After eggs for breakfast we finally got to Sea World for the kids, and I’ve got to say the blokes that do the jet ski show are pretty awesome.

We are booked in here till Wednesday with Zac wanting to go GC Compound tomorrow, so I might get a ride in and throw a line in the creek tomorrow afternoon, and the girls will likely head to the shops.

First few days have been magic, lets see how the rest pan out!
